Management
15.0 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is for students to acquire a broad knowledge of management. The course treats the emergence and later development of management research and focuses on key theories of central aspects of management, such as decision-making, organisation culture, and leadership. Management is seen as a practice carried out by managers as well as employees in an organisation, and as a practice which influences not only the organisation itself, but also other internal and external actors. For this reason, there is a special focus on understanding management in relation to diversity and ethics.
Throughout the course, students learn how to review and use current management research.
Instruction is in the form of oral and written exercises in which theory is applied to practical examples.
