Pharmacology
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course comprises the following components:
- basic pharmacology and pharmacodynamic concepts and principles, such as the receptor concept and the relationship between dosage and response,
- a general overview of how drugs are absorbed, distributed, and eliminated,
- the pharmacology of the nervous systems and the immune systems, as well as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, endocrine/metabolic, and respiratory pharmacology and pharmaceuticals targeting infections and cancer,
- the mechanisms of drug action, and the therapeutic uses, effects, and side effects of drugs,
- practical issues such as case studies and customer relations,
- communication skills training in the form of presentations and communicative exercises.

G1F (has less than 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Admission requirements:
Biochemistry (7.5 credits) or Molecular and Cellular Biology (7.5 credits) and Pathophysiology (7.5 credits), or the equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
