Science Fiction literature: Origins and classics
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course introduces science fiction literature in English and provides an overview of the history and development of the genre. Students read key texts, including pioneering works as well as significant and transformative classics in the genre, with a focus on historical and contextual aspects as well as the study of specific texts.
Instruction is in the form of lectures and seminars. The course includes mandatory written assignments. Towards the end of the course, students complete an independent project which is then presented and discussed in a seminar.
