English linguistics III: History of English from a sociolinguistic perspective
7.5 ECTS creditsThis module covers the basics of English language history from a sociolinguistic perspective, with a special emphasis on phenomena that can be observed in modern English and current trends in the development of English. In addition, students read research publications which treat English language history from a scoiolinguistic persoective, and learn about possible research questions and methods in the field.

ENGA32 English Linguistics I: Concepts and Theories (7.5 ECTS credits) and ENGB62 English Linguistics II: Language Acquisition and Language Learning (7.5 ECTS credits), or 60 ECTS credits completed in the main field of study, or equivalent
