English Literature After 1800

 7.5 ECTS credits
The module is structured as a historical overview of English fiction after 1800, with a focus on British and American literature. Students read selected works of fiction which are related to social and historical contexts through parallel study of literary, cultural, and political developments, especially in Great Britain and the US.

Progressive specialisation: G1F (has less than 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)
Education level: Undergraduate level
Admission requirements: ENGA34 Introduction to English Literature (7.5 ECTS credits) or 30 ECTS credits in the main field of study English, or equivalent.
Selection: Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
