English Linguistics II: Language Acquisition and Language Learning
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course is focused on language development and language learning. This module introduces concepts and theories that describe first and second language learning, compares processes that underpin language development and language learning, and considers related issues in bilingualism studies. Students also acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge of the many different forms of linguistics. A central aspect of the course is that students are given the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge about language learning on practical field exercises. The course includes analyses of classroom teaching with a focus on language development.

ENGA32 English Linguistics I: Concepts and Theories, 7.5 ECTS credits, or 30 ECTS credits in the main field of study English, or equivalent.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
