Theories and methods in language research
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course outlines and compares theories and methods used in language research. Students develop an awareness of different theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches, including their suitability for different research contexts. Different kinds of linguistic data and their role in language research are examined, and ethical and legal issues related to how data is collected, stored, presented, and analysed are discussed. The course prepares students for further in-depth study at the advanced level.
