Cloud Security
1.5 ECTS creditsThe course treats security aspects pertaining to cloud service environments, specifically various modes of attack that are specific for cloud-hosted environments and virtualisation techniques, and covers most relevant countermeasures and best practices for containment, such as isolation. Common methods of standardising and certifying cloud security efforts, such as those provided by Cloud Security Alliance, are discussed. The course also outlines further aspects of cloud privacy and legal frameworks relevant to data protection in cloud contexts, such as GDPR or other frameworks for privacy between the EU and the US. Key concepts related to cloud security are examined based on laboratory experiments and self-evaluations online.

30 ECTS credits in Computer Science or three years of work experience in the IT sector, and upper secondary level English 6 or B, or equivalent
