Bachelor's thesis in Biology
15.0 ECTS creditsStudents carry out a research project, individually or in pairs. The content and form of the project are selected in consultation with the supervisor and the course coordinator. Projects build on the students' previous studies in Biology and constitute specialisations in relation to previous studies. Parallel to the project, the course includes a mandatory literature module and participation in research seminars arranged at Karlstad University or other higher education institutions.
Instruction is provided in the form of supervision throughout the course. The completed project is presented in the form of a written thesis, which is presented orally and peer reviewed.

G2E (has at least 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements, contains degree project for Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science)

Admission requirements:
Registered for 60 ECTS credits in Biology, including cell biology, botany, ecology, and zoology in equal measure, with 45 ECTS credits completed, and a theoretical specialisation course (G2F) in Biology of at least 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
