The course covers the basics of ecology and evolution. It begins with an introduction, focused on how evolutionary processes shapes organisms and their adaptations, and moves on to the impact of the physical environment on patterns of species distribution, mechanisms that influence the temporal and spatial variation of populations, ecosystem processes, and ways in which humans are part of and affect biological systems.
Progressive specialisation: G1N (has only upper‐secondary level entry requirements)
Education level: Undergraduate level
Admission requirements: General admission requirements, plus upper secondary level Mathematics 3b or Mathematics 3c, Biology 1, and Chemistry 1 or Natural Science 2, or equivalent
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
