The course consists of an individual research project, and students select topics in consultation with the supervisor and the examiner.
The project includes literature study. Assessment is based on a public defence of the thesis which involves presentation and discussion, also related to relevant aspects of courses included in the programme.

Admission requirements
A Bachelor degree of 180 ECTS credits and 90 ECTS credits in courses relevant to environmental and sustainability education, including 60 ECTS credits completed from semesters 1-2 of Joint Master, environmental and sustainability education, plus upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
