Welcome Josina Vink, new Industrial Doctoral Student
2015-09-09Josina Vink is a service designer and researcher exploring what it takes to shift from creating incremental change to realizing transformative innovation in health services. She is particularly interested in understanding how health systems can strategically invest in the co-design of innovative services to support transformation and enable a healthy future for all.
She will conduct her research togheter with Experio Lab, a national centre for patient-focused service innovation part of the County Council of Värmland, Sweden, where she also has her workplace. She will also work with Orbis Medical Centre in the Netherlands to apply her findings in a different context. Josina joins Experio Lab from Toronto, Canada, where she worked as an implementation lead and systems designer at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and as a senior research and policy analyst at SHS Consulting. She also has experience as a service designer at the Mayo Clinic Centre for Innovation in the United States where she worked to re-design the outpatient practice. Josina holds a Masters of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Certificate in Sustainable Community Development from Simon Fraser University.
