Hello Vasilis Charitsis...
2015-01-23… Ph D Student in Business Administration, what kind of research are you working on right now?
- My current research focuses on self-tracking and self-quantification practices.
Self-quantification is an increasingly popular movement that aims to monitor and measure human activities, with the help of technology, in order to allow people to get a better understanding of themselves and to enhance their mental, emotional and physical abilities. From a consumer research perspective, self-quantification is a fascinating emerging phenomenon that has many potential implications. At this point, I am particularly interested in further exploring self-quantification in relation to value creation as well as surveillance and control of users. I recently presented my work, based on a study of an online self-quantified community, at the Dynamics of Virtual Work conference in London and I also developed a conceptual paper that I aim to publish in an academic journal.
Good luck with your paper!
