Hello, Bodil Sandén ...2019-10-28
... formerly PhD student at CTF and today a consultant working with organizations, innovation and collaboration. You were visiting us two weeks ago, what did you do here?
"I held some lectures in strategy and marketing communication at the undergraduate course in Marketing at Karlstad Business School. It's always fun to come back, to share my experiences and let the students know that they will benefit from many of the concepts and models we teach in the course - even if they will work with completely different things in the future.
What do you do today?
"I run Coinnovate AB with my colleagues Lisa Johnsson and Hans Björkman. Hans and I have a new and exciting collaboration with CTF, where we together with Carolina Camén and Pernille K. Andersson, among others, are working in the project ISE, a so-called Expert Competence Program funded by the KK Foundation. We will together create a model for capturing companies and organisations' future competence needs, and a process for how these courses will be developed.
In 2007, you defended your dissertation at Karlstad University. What is it about?
"It is about customer involvement in innovation processes with a focus on method development. In fact, I had almost forgotten about it when, a few months ago, I learned that parts of the dissertation have been used in a doctoral course in Linköping. I was very happy to hear that."
Do you benefit from your research today, can you give an example?
"Yes I do! In many of our consulting assignments we help companies and organisations with their innovative work, for example by developing strategies, initiating, and supporting various innovation projects. We have, during the past five years, on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration, also done research on innovation in value networks, or Open Innovation Management, also with an emphasis focusing on method development."
What has CTF meant to you?
"CTF has meant a great deal to me! A number of people here have a special place in my heart. The CTF family has grown and the environment has become much more international since my time here. It is inspiring and fun that CTF remains successful. In my consulting work, of course, I have benefited greatly from all the concepts, theories, models and tools I learned during my doctoral studies. Perhaps, most importantly is the service perspective and it’s view on people, organizations and shared value creation, that in many important parts have been developed here."
