NDHC - Nordic Digital Health Center
The project Nordic Digital Health Center -- NDHC, "A testbed for reality", seeks to build a unique testbed in Värmland with the help of future information technology. This testbed should ease the development of new modes of operation and new processes in public institutions that are linked to innovations, development and evaluation of IT-solutions.
Care services are the main focus, but also other welfare services are being addressed. The motivation of the project is to create the foundation for a much more effective way of using information technology to support new modes of working and new processes. The aim is to bring about advantages for citizens in future care services, but also in other areas of society that are important to future welfare services.
The project is trying to cross-fertilize experts in care services with technical competence in information technology, research in care services development, integrity, security and services innovation. An important ingredient is the large-scale involvement of the staff and users of care processes, to ensure a high quality of the entire development chain.
NDHC is a cooperative project between the county of Värmland, the municipality of Karlstad, Karlstad University and Stiftelsen Compare Karlstad. NDHC is a pre-project that is scheduled until 31st dec 2016.
