Innovation for green transition in the forest (Ingoskog)
How should research and innovation for a green transition based on the forest as a common resource be promoted? This is the starting-point for the three-year Interreg project ”Innovation for green transition in the forest”, a cooperation project between Karlstad University, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and a number of other partners.
Renewable materials and biomass should be used sustainably in a circular cycle to guarantee supply, regional development and growth in the area. In the Swedish-Norwegian Interreg project, new methods and tools to highlight forest resources, its value and stake-holders will be developed and tested. The idea is to build a joint knowledge bank on green transition in the cross-border region to strengthen cooperation between industry, academia and public authorities.
