OEWeek: a week focused on open education
OEWeek (Open Education Week) was launched in 2012 by Open Education Global, an international collaborative, community-built forum. Wanting to raise the awareness and highlight innovative solutions in open education, this week aims to inspire practicioners, educators, and students and increase the understanding of the advantages of open education.

Karlstad University Library is contributing during OEWeek 2025, hosting workshops about open education.
All workshops are held in the Learning lab at the University Library on floor 3 and/or via Zoom. See schedule below for further details.

The National Library of Sweden published Guidelines for open education in January 2024. These guidelines were developed on behalf of the Swedish government, intended to provide support and guidance in the transition to open science. One of the focus areas is Open Educational Resouces, in particular in higher education.
