AT-LAB

Karlstad University have launched additive manufacturing laboratory (AT-LAB) at the university. The laboratory will be an interface between academia and regional companies, creating opportunities for organization and realization of efficient knowledge transfer. In collaboration with the laboratory, large and small industries could collaborate with academia in the creative environment supporting to development of new knowledge, product and process development. Within the project, in collaboration with industrial partners, a number of workshops, seminars, pilot manufacturing, prototyping and research projects will be organized.

The project is related to Europe 2020 prioritized area - Strengthening research, technological development and innovation, with a goal to create smart growth in Värmland. The project is run within the area of strategic specialization “Advanced manufacturing and complex systems” formulated in VRIS3: Värmland Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization.
