Karolien Vanbroekhoven, Biorizon
Karolien Vanbroekhoven is research manager in VITO in field of sustainable chemistry, and was awarded her PhD in applied biological sciences at KULeuven in 2003. Currently she manages SPOT, a research group with about 30 people on sustainable polymer technologies. She is the VITO representative in Capture, a shared research platform on resource recovery in Flanders. Currently, she is responsible for the lignin program in Biorizon, a shared research centre aiming at industrial success of bioaromatics by 2026. Over the past 4 years she acted as working group leader in the European Lignocost action to coordinate the development of applications derived from lignin.
What would you like to contribute to the conference?
– Innovation is key to make new value chains become reality and parties willing to derisk and join forces together!
