Tue 1/2, 13.15–15.00, Minerva: KuFo PhD and ECR seminar. James Lees presents what GIO (Grants and Innovation Office) has to offer PhD students and early career scholars.

Tue 24/5, 15.15–17.00, 12A225 Humlan: KuFo / STINT seminar. Seminar on popular culture, visual culture, and more, with guest researchers Charles Kebaya (Machakos University, Kenya), Paul Weinberg (University of Johannesburg, South Africa), Stephen Symons (University of Pretoria, South Africa), and Brenda Schmahmann (University of Johannesburg, South Africa). Sebastian's thesis-in-progress is titled "Unconventional metaphors in English as a Lingua Franca (ELF)". The opponent is Prof. Marlene Johansson Falck, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Professor of English Linguistics at Umeå University.
