Put a stop to sexual harassment in the student community
Sexual harassment has always occurred, and the student community is no exception. The Student Health Services at Karlstad University can testify to the fact that sexual harassment does take place, as in the rest of society, and for example in connection with the welcoming of new students, parties and other activities involving alcohol.
The aim is to put a stop to sexual harassment by getting more students to act if situations are out of control. We need your help. Karlstad Student Union, Karlstad University and the Värmland County Council are therefore launching the Not Cool campaign.
If you have been sexually harassed
If you experience or witness sexual harassment, you can contact your teachers or course coordinators, the contact persons for equal treatment, Student Health Services or the Karlstad Student Union’s student ombudsman. The first person who becomes aware that something had happened needs to take the matter further.
Make a difference
You can help prevent sexual harassment by daring to see and act. This could mean walking someone home, suggesting a different game or saying ‘Stop – one doesn’t say that’.
