Transitional regulations

If you only have study results dating from before 1 July 2007, you had the opportunity to apply for a degree certificate in accordance with the previous study regulations up until the end of June 2015. To be able to apply for a degree certificate today, you have to have completed at least one course after 30 June 2007. If this is the case, you can apply for a degree certificate in accordance with the new regulations. School teachers and pre-school teachers are exempted from this arrangement, as the old regulations apply until the end of June 2020 to these qualifications.

Degree certificates obtained under either the old or the new study regulations will be acceptable both on the Swedish and international labour markets for many years to come.
