As a student at Karlstad university you have access to the internet via the global network Eduroam.

Eduroam

Eduroam is a network that is available on almost all Swedish universities and in other parts of the world.

See where you find the eduroam in the World

You log in with the following information:

  • Network: eduroam
  • Username: Your Student Account (NetID) followed by @student.kau.se,
  • example aaaabbbb100@student.kau.se (no spaces)
  • Password: The same as to your student account

Apple products identify all settings automatically. On Android devices, in addition to your username and password, you need to enter the following;

  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • CA certificate: Use system certificate
  • Online certificate status: Do not verify
  • Domain: kau.se
