2016-05-04Professor of Business Administration at CTF, Service Research Center, Karlstad University. April 27-29 was the second meeting of the international research network, INSR, International Network of Service Researchers, here in Karlstad. How did it go?
- It went fantastic! It was two very intense days with a lot of discussion on what is happening within service research and where the area of service is heading.
How will you proceed now?
- What happens next is that the participants will work on the eight articles that were initiated during the event. The articles will be published in the spring of 2017 in the Journal of Business Research. The articles will also be presented at various conferences around the world.
What has happened since the first meeting which was held in September of 2014?
- The short answer is, a lot! The most concrete is the 11 articles that have been published in the Journal of Services Marketing and Journal of Service Management. Furthermore, many smaller collaborations were started between different service centers around the world.
About INSR
INSR, International Network of Service Researchers, aims to bring researchers from different centers of service research together in an international network to strengthen and promote the development of service research. The network was founded in 2014 and consists of 40 international service researchers from 20 different universities from all over the world. The network will contribute to a greater number of publications and joint research applications.
