Håkan Frisinger Award 2014
2015-02-16The Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awarded its 2014 scholarship to Professor Margareta Friman at Karlstad University.
Margareta Friman will receive the scholarship of SEK 250,000 for
combining behavioral science with transportation research, and thus
has increased understanding of the factors that influence the decisions and choices of transport people make.
The scholarship will be awarded by the Håkan Frisinger Foundation
at a seminar held on April 1, 2015 from 13.00 to approx 17.00 in the Palmstedt hall of Chalmers University of Technology. Volvo Research & Educational Foundations (VREF), the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers will organize a seminar in connection with the award ceremony. The seminar will be held in Swedish

Facts
Håkan Frisinger was CEO of Volvo in 1983-1987 and Chairman of the Board in 1997-1999. Each year the Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awards a scholarship of SEK 250 000 to a prominent researcher at a Swedish University. The scholarship will encourage research and development in the field of transportation and is primarily awarding achievements already accomplished within this area. A total of 20 persons were included on the nomination list for the 2013 scholarship.
Nomination of recipients of the Frisinger scholarship is conducted by the Chalmers University of Technology and Volvo Research and educational Foundations (VREF). The decision about the scholarship is made by the Board of VREF.
