Mathematics Bachelor Program for Efficient Computations
With the support from STINT, we plan to develop together with the Department of Mathematics of the Kanazawa University Japan a double degree program in computational mathematics.
The Kanazawa institution stands out by the existing strong computational mathematics expertize, while the Karlstad institution is exceptionally active in training mathematics teachers. With joint efforts, we want to prepare a new generation of well-educated mathematicians and open-minded mathematics teachers, which, after three study years, are able to write a sound computational mathematics BSc thesis in direct collaboration with industry.
The project runs from September 1st, 2017, to August 31st, 2020.
