Dance Teaching Democracy
Through literature, lectures, seminars and experimental workshops, students are introduced to different approaches to integrating a democratic perspective more purposefully in dance instruction. In relation to the tradition of artistic dance, various concepts such as views of the human being and knowledge, body, apprenticeship, freedom to act, participation, diversity and equality are discussed.The concepts are explored, concreticised and problematised in relation to dance teaching. Students carry out their own dance teaching project and a survey of participants' experiences.
