Call for Abstracts
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit presentation proposals on the conference theme by May 18. For those interested, there might also be an opportunity to publish a paper in a special issue following the conference.
Time for presentation will be approximately 15 to 20 minutes. While the main conference language will be Swedish, presentations in English are also welcome.
Conference themes include, but are not limited to:
- Dynamic Hazard Modelling: This involves enhancing flood hazard assessments with evolving datasets and climate projections.
- Data Crowdsourcing & Private Meteorological Stations: Citizen Science plays a pivotal role in facilitating flood monitoring.
- Exposure and Vulnerability Analysis: The objective of this analysis is to identify populations and infrastructure that are at risk.
- Small-Scale Adaptation Measures: Implementing localized solutions for flood resilience in urban and rural settings.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Integrating community perspectives into flood risk management strategies.
Abstract submission guidelines:
The abstract should be 250 to 300 words and include title, authors, affiliations and keywords.
Please submit your abstract as a PDF file to celine.steiner@kau.se by May 18.
Timeline
- Abstracts to be submitted by May 18
- Notification of acceptance by June 9
- Registration and payment by September 21
