CSR and the Swedish crisis preparedness week
CSR participated in this years crisis preparedness week by arranging a contest with a crisis preparedness quiz and a internal workshop about crisis preparedness education.

The crisis preparedness week is an annual information campaign aimed at increasing peoples resilience towards societal risks. This years campaign took place week 39, 27 September - 3 October, and focussed on reminding people about the important role they as individuals play in Sweden's crisis preparedness.
At the centre for societal risk research the campaign was highlighted through a crisis preparedness quiz: What is the state of your crisis preparedness? contest with thematic prizes. A internal workshop was also arranged on the theme of education on crisis preparedness and how such education could be conducted in an easily available and engaging way connected to CSR:s Risklab.
Crisis training and preparedness is one of the focus areas at CSR and revolves around tools and methods that can contribute to the development of crisis training and good preparedness. More specifically it is about utilizing the potential of digital tools for crisis training and develop forms of inclusive crisis training that better reflect societal conditions during a crisis. One example here is the Interreg-project CriseIT 2 that develops knowledge and tools to facilitate continued digitalization of the crisis training field and an expanded border-regional collaboration of crisis preparedness in the Innlandet (Norway) - Värmland (Sweden).
Quiz: What is the state of your crisis preparedness?
The contest has been concluded and the winers contacted but we will keep the quiz available for a while longer. We especially appreciated all creative and clever ideas provided by the participants. The quiz results and ideas will be used to influence us in the development of a exhibition material and a method for teaching crisis preparedness in connection to Risklab.
