gives a seminar entitled
Structures in suspensions studied by conventional rheology and microrheolog
Monday, May 22nd at 2:30 pm
Place: Room 3B 512
Abstract:
Ternary Silica-Pluronic-Starch thermosensitive systems were studied by means of conventional rheology and microrheology. Scaling relations were used to identify transitions from a colloidal gel (or a liquid-like state at low temperatures) to a colloidal glass (or microcrystalline regions). Microrheology at low volume fractions solid phase gave insights into local structural and dynamical properties accompanying the sol-gel transition, not visible by conventional rheology.
Welcome Lars Järnström, Professor, organizer of the seminar.
