Common goals and values important in new partnership with French university
2021-05-25Responsible, sustainable and close collaboration with business are values, which Karlstad Business School shares with Institute Mines - Telecom Business School - a new partner in Information Systems and Business.
From Autumn 2021, Karlstad Business School students will be able to apply for a semester abroad in Paris. A new student exchange agreement within Information Systems and Business Administration has been signed between Institute Mines - Telecom Business School (IMTBS), Paris and Karlstad Business School.
Sana Rouis Skandrani, senior lecturer in information systems at Karlstad Business School, says:
- IMTBS is a highly selective, prestigious and socially inclusive Management School in France which combines telecommunications engineering and business. Karlstad Business School and IMTBS share common goals and values, both equip their students with knowledge and skills to contribute to a more responsible world and both pride themselves on being open institutions who maintain close connections to business in their teaching and research.
During May the institutions held a COIL event where Sana Rouis Skandrani taught intercultural communication and leadership online to students from IMTBS and IMTBS staff held lectures on the role of previous analytics knowledge and culture in developing a BI strategy for Karlstad Business School students.
The IMTBS campus is located to the south of Paris, 45 minutes from the centre. Uniquely IMTBS offers exchange students accommodation on their campus. Student exchanges are available for bachelor and master level.
As part of work to become more sustainable in our international activities, students may apply for a sustainability scholarship if they travel by train rather than fly to their Erasmus+ exchange universities.
