Working Life Science IV Including Thesis

The course consists of three modules:

Module 1. Classic Workplace Studies 15 ECTS cr.
The module focuses on the classic workplace studies previously referred to in course literature and now studied in the original.

Module 2. Issues in Theory of Science and Methodology 15 ECTS cr.
The module deals with methodological stances and their relation to different epistemological positions.

Instruction is in the form of seminars in which students are expected to participate actively in discussions and through presentations.

Module 3. Thesis Project 15 ECTS cr.
Students are expected to write an academic thesis demonstrating ability to analyse a problem in the working life science field.

Instruction is in the form of individual supervision and individual study. Supervision is only offered to students while the course is in progress. Students who fail to complete the project satisfactorily during this time may re-register at the next course opportunity. They will then be offered additional supervision to the extent made possible by available resources.

Progressive specialisation: A1N (has only first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Master's level

Admission requirements: Upper Secondary English course B or equivalent. Working Life Science 90 ECTS cr. or equivalent. At least 30 of these 90 ECTS cr. must be earned in basic level courses that have at least 60 ECTS cr. as prerequisites.

Selection:

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
