Linnea Lundgren

Research
Linnea Lundgren currently work as a researcher at the Department of Political, Historical, Religious and Cultural Studies at Karlstad University and at the Center for Civil Society Research at Marie Cederschiöld University. She is also affiliated affiliated to Centre for Multidisciplinary Research on Religion and Society at Uppsala University.
Linnea completed her Ph.D in 2021 with the thesis " A Risk or a Resource?: A Study of the Swedish State´s Shifting Perception and Handling of Minority Religious Communities between 1952-2019".
Her research interests lie in sociology of religion with a particular emphasis on issuse concerning, religion and civil society, governance of religious diversity and processes of religious change. She currently works in the research project " New Faces of the Folk Church - Lived Religion, Spiritual Practices and Theological Legitimacy"
