Jamilla Rosdahl is Senior Lecturer and researcher at the Department of Social and Psychological Studies at Karlstad University where she specialises in gender, coercive control, surveillance and violence as well as social theory, the body, nineteenth- and twentieth- century continental philosophy, social and political thought. She currently teaches sociology, social psychology, classic and modern sociological theory in Swedish and English with a focus on social control, feminist, structuralist and Foucauldian thought. Jamilla has worked for the Queensland Research Centre for Domestic and Family Violence in Australia. In 2018 Jamilla worked for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, Kriminalvården, within the areas of male violence, sexual crimes and intimate partner abuse.
