Prerequisites
General admission requirements for studies at Masters level.
Special requirements:
Swedish B/Swedish 2 B and English A.
For the chosen Major:
- Public Health Science: Bachelors Degree of 180 ECTS credits including a degree project of 15 ECTS cr, or equivalent.
- Nursing: Professional Nursing Degree of 180 ECTS credits including a degree project of 15 ECTS cr, or Bachelors Degree in nursing, or equivalent.
Students who have a 60 ECTS cr Masters Degree in the chosen major can have these credits transferred to the programme.
While studying
Education
The programme involvespart-time or full-time Master's level studies in one of two specialisations: public health science or nursing. The programme also includes optional courses. The combination of a main field of study and electives gives students the chance to choose the degree of depth in health studies and breath of multidisciplinarity for their degree. In this way the programme is relevant to professional life as well as for further studies. Students choose their specialisation (public health or nursing) on application.People from different professional groups choose the public health specialisation for further study. In this area there are a number of courses offered with a focus on children and their health, which are related to current research in the discipline in conjunction with national and international institutions.
