Special Needs Education
7.5 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is that students develop basic knowledge of special needs education which then can contribute to the development of teaching practices upon completion of the course.
The course covers:
- an introduction to the field of special needs education, especially in terms of the pedagogical task of teachers,
- children and pupils in learning difficulties, how difficulties can be understood, and the significance of how someone is treated for the manifestation of difficulties, especially in relation to neuropsychiatric disability, and
- collaboration, within school and with other relevant institutions, used as a tool to develop the situation of children/pupils in preschool/school.
Instruction is in the form of meetings which include lectures and seminars. Students complete a small independent project.

MUGL02 School as System and Idea - Music Education (7.5 ECTS credits), MUGL04 School as System and Idea 2 - Music Education (7.5 ECTS credits), MUGL06 The Learning Pupil 1 - Music Education (7.5 ECTS credits), and MUGL12 The Learning Pupil 2 - Music Education (7.5 ECTS credits),
or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
