Swedish - A Second Language
7.5 ECTS credits
The course gives a general introduction to linguistic theory. The focus is on the structure of the Swedish language from a linguistic-typlogical and contrastive perspective, with special emphasis on linguistic areas of particular difficulty for learners of Swedish as a second language. Students learn to analyse the linguistic production of second-language learners and practise grammatical and phonological exercises in various forms.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
