Project Governance
7.5 ECTS credits
The course deals with project management in multi-project environments and the organisation's handling of the projects. In particular, the project as a phenomenon is treated from an overriding, management perspective. Business-oriented project evaluations and decisions, applications of project models and models of learning from projects in multi-project environments constitute the core components.
Lectures on organisation, processes, strategies and learning in organisations are followed by project related lectures on project models, project offices and project decisions. Throughout the course students work in groups with application assignments.
Instruction is in the form of lectures, laboratory work and seminars. There is an emphasis on authentic case group work, and the cases can be drawn from the student's previous field of studies or special interests, such as business systems, business administration or working life studies. Off-campus students must have broadband connection and Flash Player installation as well as relevant communication equipment including a web camera.

General admission requirements and the courses PLGA01 General Project Management Methodology 7.5 ECTS, PLGA10 Project management, 15 ECTS cr, PLGA11 Introduction to Project management 6 ECTS cr, ISGB06 Business system II: Developmet models 7.5 ECTS cr, or the module Project management, 7.5 ECTS cr from the course MKGB60 Visual communication and design II, 30 ECTS cr, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
