The course deals with some theoretical organisation perspectives, different types of organisation with an emphasis on education. Preschool and school as societal institutions are treated, as are the demands for development and management in the local organisation that decentralisation calls for. Basic aspects of governance (political) and control (professional) of activities are treated. In relation to institutional and organisational perspectives, different theories of and perspectives on leadership and its application in preschool and school are discussed. Current research on school cultures is also treated.

Admission requirements: Teacher Education Degree or equivalent qualifications of at least 180 ECTS cr
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
