Methodology and development work in school-Secondary Education

The course deals with accounts, problematisations and applications with relevance to professional practice in secondary education and includes discussions of:
-national and international research results of teacher and school development efforts
-different scientific and epistemological perspectives on research with relevance to developing and evaluating teaching
-different research designs and methods with relevance to education, teaching and learning
-different positions and methodological choices in subject-specific research on teaching, its conditions and consequences in different school subjects
-formulation of a research question in preparation for a degree project.
