Identities and Cultures

The course includes components focussing on identities and identity-creating processes, on the one hand, and the importance of understanding the significance of the place concept to society as a whole, on the other. The course treats material and immaterial forms of culture as well as lived culture, life styles, cultural heritage and traditions, and the relation of place cultures to globalisation.

Upper secondary level Swedish B/3 Sw 2 B/3.
Social science studies totalling at least 120 ECTS credits with 90 ECTS cr, including a degree project 15 ECTS cr, in one of the following subjects: human geography, tourism, cultural studies, history of ideas, religious studies, ethnology, anthropology, enviroronmental science, history, social care, social work, sociology or political science.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
