The Philosophy of Photography I: Introduction

The course provides a survey of the most important conceptions in the history of photography and an introduction to the seminal texts, photographic works, theories and debates that describe an understanding of the relation between the photographic image and reality. Genres and techniques of forms of representation in photography are also treated, and analysis of images and individual photographic works are practised.
