Health Education and Sports Pedagogy

Instruction is in the form of lectures, group work and practical activities. The course comprises presentations of different health and sports pedagogical perspectives and research traditions. Different health promoting and sports related activities are practised. Leadership and instruction models in the health field are studied. Students develop their ability to organise and lead movement activities. Theory and practice are integrated throughout the course.
Progressive specialisation: G2F (has at least 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)
Education level: Undergraduate level
Admission requirements: Sports Science I 30 ECTS cr and Sports Science II 30 ECTS cr or equivalent sports-and health-related education. Health and Wellness programme students: 90 ECTS cr (terms 1-3 completed). Nursing programme students: 60 ECTS cr (terms 1-2 completed)
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
