Methods in region building studies
7.5 ECTS creditsHistorical methods in research and definitions are presented with the help of case studies drawn from different historical sources. Intra-disciplinary method traditions are used to illustrate continuity and change in historical analyses of how regions are constructed and organised. The examples serve as starting-points for exploring historical research methods in a multi-disciplinary perspective. Instruction is in the form of lectures and seminars.

General admission requirements for studying at Master level.
Undergraduate social science studies of 120 ECTS credits, of which 90 ECTS cr, including a degree project 15 ECTS cr, were earned in one of the following main fields of study: History, Human Geography, Social Work, Social Care, Sociology, Political Science, Tourism Studies, or Environment Studies with social science specialisation or Bachelor degree in GIS engineering with social science specialisation.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
