Mobile and Wireless Systems
7.5 ECTS credits
The course introduces students to the new area of mobile and wireless systems. The main goal is to provide a fundamental understanding of the principles, architectures and protocols behind wireless networking and mobile systems. The course explains those principles on the basis of state of the art technologies such as the mobile internet, WiFi 802.11, Wireless Personal Area Networks, or UMTS. Novel developments such as multihop communication are also briefly introduced.
Progressive specialisation: A1N (has only first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)
Education level: Master's level
Admission requirements: Upper Secondary English course B or equivalent. The course DVGB02 Computer Networking I, 7.5 hp, or equivalent.
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
