Kauprint for Students
As a student, you have several options for printing. You can use any of the computers in the library as well as all computer labs. In addition, you can choose to send print jobs from your personal computer or mobile device so you can print whenever you want.
The easiest way to print is through MobilityPrint, which works on both computers and mobile devices. To print, you need to be connected to Eduroam. The printer that will be installed is called KAU-print. Double‑sided and black‑and‑white printing is set as the default.
Other
To access more advanced printing features such as stapling, you can install Print Deploy.
If you are not connected to Eduroam or for any other reason cannot install the printers, you can either email files directly to the printers or send print jobs via Webbprint. When using mailprint, the prints are sent as single‑sided color prints. You can change this on the printer’s panel under the “Print Release” button.
Printing costs
The price per black‑and‑white page is 0.58 SEK, and for a color page 1.88 SEK. Scanning is free of charge.
All prices include 25% VAT.
Top up your balance via the webb portal or by visiting Universitetstryckeriet.
FAQ
The printer shows the message “User quota exceeded”
Your print account balance is too low. Log in to Portalen or visit Universitetstryckeriet in building 4B to add funds.
Payment via Portalen does not work
Card payments in the portal require that online payments and international payments are activated with your bank. If you visit Universitetstryckeriet, you can pay by card or Swish at the counter.
A print job remains in the queue and does not reach the printer
Check that you have entered the correct username and password. If the queue shows “waiting for authentication” or “authentication failed,” click the refresh arrow on the far right of the row and enter your KAU ID again. This is common on Mac computers because they open the login window with the computer’s user account pre‑filled.
