World Religions (15 hp)

An orientation in the great world religions (non-Christian) from antiquity to the present. This course is an introduction to the study of the History of Religions and comparative religious thought. Emphasis is placed on both the development and contemporary positions of belief systems, rituals and cult organizations of non-Christian religions. The course includes an individual research paper, an exercise allowing for deeper reflection and reading in one of the world religions.
