Nordiska miljö- och klimatsstudier (30 hp)

In this course you can combine the study of Nordic nature and Environmental questions with special focus on Climate Change with an introduction to Ecophilosohy.
You will get introductions to:
-the Scandinavian nature and culture landscapes, its history and identity
-the Nordic environmental history and Nordic environmental policies
-the different causes of climate change and its consequences for the world with special focus on Scandinavia
Ecophilosohy, the philosophical analyses of environmental problems and its cultural roots, and the history of its Nordic origins.
Teaching will consist of
Lectures and seminars at the university
Excursions to learn about the landscapes and the climate change problems. You will among others meet Lake Vänern, Klarälven basin, Northern taiga forest and urban areas.

Excursions means that there will be some fees for transport and lodge.
