External collaboration with students
Student collaboration at Karlstad University is a link between students and professionals. By cooperating with students, employers/companies can gain additional knowledge about the company or the organisation and thus establish a natural link to the university and future employees.
There are various forms of cooperation. A company might start out as a partner and come to know several students. The next step can be to collaborate on a degree project with one or two hand-picked students. The employer gets help dealing with qualified problems and the students benefit through the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a real situation. Being a mentor is another example of reciprocally rewarding cooperation.
Employers have the opportunity to:
- recruit employees via the web and announcement board
- request help with a problem suitable for a degree project
- participate in Hotspot, the market relations event.
