Cooperation – a natural feature of education and research
Engaging in collaborations with companies, authorities and organizations is one of our most important tasks here for Karlstad University. Our partnerships with the society are of mutual benefit and enriching for all involved parties.
Cooperation may take the form of trainee teachers helping compulsory school pupils with their homework, or students in their degree projects putting forward proposals to improve the efficiency of companies or to develop new markets. Other forms of cooperation are contact courses tailor-made for improving competence in companies and organizations, or researchers, together with other actors, attempting to find answers to societal problems.
Through open dialogue Karlstad University also contributes to regional development and at the same time is the region’s link with the international academic community. We help to ensure that innovations are disseminated in the community and that research results benefit the society that we live in.
